You can see in the image below that the thermos on the left has the hotter water, however the heat signature on both Tumblers is only present inside the Tumbler.
The less expensive Ozark Trail Tumbler was declared the winner of my very casual unscientific YETI vs. Ozark Trail Tumbler challenge! And they both really did seem pretty similar in performance and are both fantastic tumblers to consider. Tumblers, one from YETI and one from Ozark Trail, to test if there’s a difference that would make me want to spend 4x as much money for the YETI. We seem to have a growing supply of tumblers at home and I often wonder if there’s a difference between the higher-end brands like YETI and Walmart’s more affordable brand Ozark Trail. Whether you are going on a field adventure or driving to work, a favorite drink in the morning is indispensable. But the problem I have always encountered is that in the hot summer, the ice cubes in the cold drink quickly dissolve while in the cold winter, the hot coffee quickly cools off. This leads to a short time to enjoy the drink or have no way but endure an unfavorable experience. We keep a small quantity of other colors/bottles on hand, and can source other colors/sizes for you upon request. They both work very well at keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. The one thing the Yeti really has over the Ozark Trail mug, in terms of performance, is the slider on the lid. The coolers remained in the same location for the duration of the 6 day test, only being opened to snap daily progress pictures. So, I have to say that I was really surprised with how this test turned out. You can see from the images below that there was consistent ice melt, however two of the three were better performing. Instead of a narrow, bottle-like mouth like the Yeti, the Ozark Trail's top is roughly the size of the bottle's circumference. It's big enough that you can slip a few ice cubes into your drink, something you can't do with the Yeti bottle. If you'd prefer a sipping spout, Ozark Trail sells a similar 24-ounce water bottle for the same price. You can have any color you like … as long as it's brushed stainless steel.
